Sean Bergenheim scored a go-ahead goal in the second period and the Florida Panthers beat the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 Friday night. Kris Versteeg also scored for Florida.
Bryan Little scored for Winnipeg and Chris Mason made 28 saves.
Jets head coach Claude Noel was rather blunt about the loss..
Noel was talking about the first period. He says the team played much better in the 2nd and third periods.
Winnipeg lost for the ninth straight time when playing the second of consecutive games.
The Jets are in Montreal Sunday afternoon to play the Canadiens..

The unranked Manitoba Bisons were happy to be home for the last game at Investors Group Athletic Centre of the 2011-12 season but they couldn't overcome the unranked Calgary Dinos, who won their sixth straight conference game, 73-52.

Still fighting for the top spot in the Canada West conference, the University of Manitoba Bisons men's hockey team defeated the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds 3-2 in a shoot out Friday night..
The Bisons' goals were scored by Blair Macaulay and Del Cowan, with Jeremy Schappert picking up the shootout winner. Goalie Joe Caligiuri made 30 saves.
Manitoba's record improves to 16-5-2..

Canada won its fourth game at the World Bandy Championships in Kazakhstan with a 13-2 win over Latvia. They willl now play Hungary on Saturday for the Silver medal in the B pool.
