Violent crime on the streets of Winnipeg overnight, as police responded to numerous calls on Friday night and Saturday morning.
At around 10:30 Friday night, a man was stabbed multiple times in a botched hold-up at Vaughn and Graham. The man went to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded.
Saturday morning just before 2, the vendor at The Lincoln Motor Hotel on McPhillips was robbed with no injuries to staff.
Just after 2 a.m. Police responded to a call about a stabbing in the 500 block of Osborne. A 19 year old woman had been stabbed numerous times, and is now in stable condition at hospital.
At around 3: 45 Saturday morning people living at a home in the 300 block of Salter street were pepper-sprayed by 6 suspects who broke in. Four adults, one youth, and one infant were treated for ingestion of spray and released.
And at 4:50 a.m. Saturday: A man was stabbed during a fight with a known woman in the 800 block of College Avenue. Police have a female in custody and the man is in stable condition in hospital.
